Zen Taiji Studio

What is Zen Taiji?

It is a practice based on an embodied movement system. It starts with learning the dynamic stretching movements of the body as a whole.

It consists of loosening exercises, taiji form, applications (partner work) and meditation.

The purpose of the practice is to improve health and vitality and it forms a pathway into understanding the subtle energies of the human (microcosm) and the universal (macrocosm).

My Taiji journey

It started back in Byron Bay in the late 90s, where I met Patrick Kelly, who was a student of Master Huang Sheng Shyan. I eventually found myself back at Patricks original studio in Auckland NZ, and only now with the closing of the studio and over twenty years experience feel confident to pass on the teaching, incorporating my own understanding of East Asian Medicine and Asian philosophies.
